Filming tips

Using Record with camera

Recording right here in your browser.

Face a window or lamp so the light is on your face.
Put the camera at eye level.
Use headphones with a mic if you have them.
Keep your face inside the frame for the format you picked.
Use Pop out preview to put the picture right under your camera, so you look into the lens.
Recording stops on its own at the time limit.

Filming on your device to upload

Then choose Upload a file and send it in.

Hold your phone sideways, even for 9:16. We'll crop it to fit.
Use the camera on the back of the device (generally higher resolution).
Use a tripod or something to steady the phone.
Don't use your smartphone's zoom.
Don't stand in front of a window or bright light.
Bluetooth headphones (AirPods) are great! Any earbuds are preferred. If nothing else, stand as close to your phone as possible.
